According to the network's website:
Hosted by Canuck funnyman Stewart Francis and his sexy co-host, Sitara Hewitt, You Bet Your Ass combines the unpredictability of high stakes gaming with wise-ass pop-culture trivia.
In each episode, contestants duke it out for points through four rounds of wagering. "The Wild Card" provides more opportunity for contestants to add to their totals, or better yet, steal 500 points from another player if they get the question right.
In the final round, contestants put their "ass on the line" by betting on three final questions from a category of their choice. With each question, they can either bet a portion of their points or go all-in. The person with the most points wins $500. Here's the twist: they can either go home with their winnings or let it all ride for a shot at $1,000 of cold, hard cash by correctly answering one final question. In the end, true casino gamesmanship and kick-ass trivia knowledge determines the winner.
Honesty.. this show is about as fun as watching paint dry.. wait.. that's fun compared to this show.
They've mocked the set to look poker-like, from the contestants sitting at a poker table with buzzers, to the categories being on a 3-card monte looking screen. (which the contestants don't even choose the categories!)
The host is suppose to be a comedian.. he acts like a bad skit performer on SNL; and the 'sexy co-host' looks like a cute waitress they must have picked up at the bar while she was serving the drinks where this "great show idea" came to fruitition.
The rounds are called things like "Piece of Ass" and "Ass on the Line"..
I wouldn't waste the airtime on this show.. rerun more South Park or something.. lol
